DESCRIPTION:In honor of the remarkable legacy and enduring impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.\, the 2025-2026 UW Medicine & Health Sciences MLK Committee invites you to recognize the exemplary honorees for our Community Service and Distinguished Service Awards. These honorees represent a strong commitment to community service\, social justice\, and uplifting the well-being of others. This recognition celebrates those who carry forward Dr. King’s vision of equity\, compassion\, and collective progress. Together\, we honor those who continue the work — not just in words\, but in action with this year’s theme\, Mission Possible: Building Community- Together We Rise. Learn about The King Center and their commitment to building Beloved Community through creating space for people everywhere to engage\, learn\, and unite. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis annual ceremony honors students\, faculty\, staff and researchers who advance Dr. King’s legacy through service and meaningful contributions to our communities. There will be music\, spoken word\, and the presentation of our awards followed by a reception to build community.
