Diversity Sub Internships

The University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) recognizes the importance of diversity for maintaining excellence in its teaching, patient care and research programs. To increase the representation of medical students from historically underrepresented backgrounds in its residency training programs, the Departments of Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Psychiatry and Radiology are offering funded visiting sub-internships for medical students in their fourth year. These programs offer fourth year students from underrepresented backgrounds the opportunity to experience graduate medical education at the University of Washington prior to choosing where to go for their residency.
