UW Medicine is committed to being a diverse, inclusive and anti-racist organization for our patients, faculty, staff, students and trainees. To achieve this goal, we must ensure that decisions that affect our institution are conceived and implemented through an equity lens. To guide and support this process, the Office of Healthcare Equity (OHCE) has developed an Equity Impact Review Tool (EIRT).
This 90 minute training is designed to walk through real world challenges and decisions using the EIRT. The purpose of the tool is to ensure the equity impacts are systematically and rigorously considered in organizational decision making. This tool should become familiar to all decision makers; serving as an organizational check on policy making, financial investments, resource allocations, programmatic functionality, and other activities that significantly influence workplace values, norms, productivity, and culture.
