The UW Office of Healthcare Equity is pleased to share the release of the Pathways 2021–2025 Report, a four-year summary of activities across five programs that support medical students in addressing disparities in healthcare access and outcomes. The report highlights the Indian Health Pathway, Latinx Health Pathway, LGBTQ+ Pathway, Black Health Justice Pathway, and the Community-Urban Scholars Program (CUSP).
These programs offer focused training, mentorship, and community engagement opportunities that prepare students to work effectively with historically underserved populations. The report includes data on enrollment, curriculum updates, student-led initiatives, and program milestones from 2021 to 2025. It also outlines how each program adapted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, these efforts reflect UW Medicine’s commitment to improving health outcomes across the WWAMI region.
