Puget Sound Business Journal honors Edwin Lindo, Assistant Dean for Social and Health Justice at the Office of Healthcare Equity, and Co-Founder of Estelita’s Library as their 2026 40 under 40 Honoree

Assistant Dean for Social and Health Justice at the Office of Healthcare Equity, Edwin Lindo JD, has been honored as the rising leader and awardee of the 2026 Puget Sound Business Journal’s annual 40 under 40 Awards. The awards ceremony highlights the region’s top exceptional young professionals whose innovation, leadership, and impact are shaping our economy and redefining what’s next in their industries. Lindo’s impact reaches far beyond lecture halls at the University of Washington where he serves as an Associate Teaching Professor asking and exploring the hard questions of Race & Racism within the institutions of Medicine and Law.
While social justice takes place in his scholarship, his passion for community service is embodied through Estelita’s Library, co-founded by Lindo and his wife, Dr. Estell Williams. Their social justice and community library began in the Central District and has flourished as a hub for connection, social justice, and education. An extension of the mission of Estelita’s for people to come together, raise their voices, and inspire each other; their next goal is to tackle the surmounting issue of affordable housing in Seattle. This endeavor entails creating the possibility of home ownership for systematically excluded communities in Beacon Hill that is majority Black, Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Latinx. The project’s name, The Solidarity House, speaks to Lindo’s commitment to increase access to prosperity in health, education, housing, and the overall wellbeing of all those in the community regardless of their lack of resources.
The PSBJ event takes place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 4:00pm – 6:30pm and folks can get tickets and learn more at this link.
