Capoeira Angola is a powerful Afro-Brazilian martial art with deep cultural roots in resistance and survival. Born from the struggles of enslaved Africans in Brazil, Capoeira combines movement, music, history, and philosophy to create a game of strategy, style, and wit. In our classes, we’ll dive into these traditions, learning the foundational movements, music, and the spirit of this art form. Open to all ages.
Hosted in partnership with the Union Cultural Center and led by instructor Silvio Dos Reis.
