The University of Washington’s Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (UW LEND) program trains future leaders to advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities. Focused on person- and family-centered care, the program brings together a diverse group of professionals, including those from fields like audiology, nursing, and social work, as well as individuals with lived experience as family caregivers or self-advocates. Through hands-on clinics, interactive seminars, and collaborative learning, trainees develop the skills necessary to create positive, inclusive change in their communities.
