Certified EDI Peer Trainer – Info Session

Become an Certified EDI Peer Trainer. Informational session with Q&A.
Our Peer Trainer Program is a great opportunity for those who are committed to EDI work and have an interest in developing their skills as an educator. Our EDI peer trainers successfully complete 32 hours of study and practice, overseen by a subject matter expert. to serve as co-facilitators in the delivery of our suite of courses.
The EDI Peer Trainer program will begin in January. The schedule is below:
January
Kickoff Orientation, January 8th: 12:30pm-2:30pm
Select your EDI content topic by January 12th.
2-hr Immersion Session (Part 1) in content topic. Week of January 15th
2-hr Immersion Session (Part 2) in content topic. Week of January 22nd
Small group teach-backs Week 1. Week of January 29th
February
Small group teach-backs Week 2. Week of February 12th
Soft Skills Training 1 with National expert Dr. Caprice Hollins. February 20th: 8:30am-12:00pm
Small group teach-backs Week 3. Week of February 26th
March
Soft Skills Training 2 with Lead Trainer Lee Davis. March 13th: 12:00pm-1:20pm
Small group teach-backs Week 4. Week of March 19th
Soft Skills Training 3 with Director of Training Dr. Jonathan Kanter. March 29th, 12:00pm-1:30pm
April
Trainees begin co-teaching calendared trainings with a subject matter expert of Certified Peer Trainer
Fall
After experts’ certifications, new Certified Peer Trainers are added to OHCE’s training calendar.
