UW Medicine Affinity Groups

The Office of Healthcare Equity invites you to join our Affinity and Workforce Antiracism Groups.
Affinity groups meet quarterly to provide a supportive space to talk, be heard, connect and celebrate in community within our work environment. These are open to all who support and are committed to this mission. Registration is now open for the following groups, which were selected based on requests from colleagues who identify with these groups: 2SLGBTQIA+, Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (ANHPI), Black, Hispanic and Latinx, and Mixed Race. Everyone is welcome.
Groups are offered virtually at this time on a quarterly basis. Filling out this interest form will allow you to receive program communications, relevant updates, and upcoming events.
Workforce Antiracism Group
We also provide Workforce Antiracism Group sessions for colleagues who want to support our collective work to become a more equitable, inclusive and antiracist organization. If you are interested in joining, please visit the WAG page for more information and to register.
Graduate Student & Postdoc Affinity Groups
Biomedical Research Affinity Groups are groups of graduate students and postdocs formed based on shared social identities and characteristics, including allies who support those identities. Affinity groups are typically created to support, promote and foster a sense of community and belonging within the School of Medicine.
Learn more about these groups supported by the UW School of Medicine Office of Research & Graduate Education (RGE), and co-supported by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center Office of Education and Training, and the UW Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) program here.
