EDI Training & Education Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit
As of January 1, 2025, eligible UW Medicine physicians can receive 2.0 CME credits for completing each of our Office of Healthcare Equity Foundational EDI trainings. 2.0 credits will be awarded for the completion of the 1.5-hour live training and an accompanying 30-minute solo-activity discussion guide.
Instructions for Obtaining Credit Using Text Messaging
Step 1. Confirm you have an account on the UW Cloud CME Page
If you do not have an account, refer to the TIP SHEET to create one.
Step 2. Text your attendance to UW Cloud CME
- Open your messaging app on your phone
- Send a text message to 833-394-7078
- In the message body, type the email address associated with your Cloud CME Profile (UW Email if faculty or staff)
Example: Number: 8333947078, Message: john.doe@uw.edu
Step 3. Confirm Registration
- You will receive a reply text stating: “Thank you [Your Name], your phone number has been updated to [Phone Number].”
- If your name is not shown in the response, stop and use the traditional sign-in method or create an account at www.uwcme.org.
Step 4. After receiving confirmation, enter activity code -10552
If successful, you will receive a confirmation stating: “Thank you [Your Name], we have recorded your attendance for DS2535 EDI Foundational Training [Date].”
Note: Texting needs to occur 60 minutes before, during or after each session.
Accreditation with Commendation:
The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation:
The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. (Each session is worth 2.0 credits). Your attendance credit will be available via 1) The Cloud CME mobile app and 2) The Cloud CME website under your transcript.
